Privacy Policy

Who I am

This website belongs to me, Mohammed Anaf. I’m a web designer and developer based in India, and I work with clients around the world. I decide what happens to the personal details collected here, which makes me responsible for them (the legal term is “data controller”).

What I collect

I only collect details you give me yourself, plus the basic logs every web host keeps.

The free audit form: your name, email, website address, the area you want me to look at first, and anything you write in the message box.
The booking calendar: your name, email, the time you pick and any notes you add. Cal.com runs the calendar for me.
Emails you send me: whatever you choose to include.
Server logs: when you open a page, my host Netlify records technical details such as your IP address, browser type, the page and the time. Hosts use these to keep websites running and secure.

I never ask for payment details, ID documents or health information, so please don’t send them through the form.

How I use it

I use your details to reply to you, look at the website you sent, prepare for our call and, if we decide to work together, plan the project. Server logs help keep the site working and block spam bots.

Your details stay with me. I don’t sell them, share them with advertisers or add you to a mailing list. If I start a newsletter one day, you’ll only be on it if you sign up yourself.

If you’re in the UK or EU, the law asks me to name my reason for using your data. For the form, the calendar and emails, you asked me to do something for you (steps before a possible contract). For server logs, I have a legitimate interest in keeping the site safe.

Services that handle it

Three companies help me run this site. They handle your details only to do that job for me.

Netlify hosts the website, receives the audit form and keeps the server logs. Netlify’s privacy policy

These companies store data in several countries, including the United States, so your details may be kept outside the country you live in. Each one explains in its own policy how it protects data moved between countries.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies of its own and has no analytics or advertising trackers. Fonts, scripts and images all load from this website itself, so your visit isn’t passed on to Google Fonts or any other outside service.

The one exception is the booking calendar on the Contact page. It loads from Cal.com only when you scroll close to it, and Cal.com may set its own cookies so the calendar works. If you’d rather skip it, email me and we’ll find a time that way.

How long I keep it

I delete audit requests, bookings and emails 12 months after we last spoke. If we work together, I keep what the project needs while it runs, plus records the law asks me to hold on to, such as invoices for tax. Netlify keeps its server logs for a short period set by its own policy.

Your rights

You can ask me to:

show you the details I hold about you
correct anything that’s wrong
delete your details
stop using them for a particular purpose

Email me from the address you used before, so I know the request really comes from you. It’s free, and I’ll reply within 30 days. Laws like the GDPR (in the EU and UK) and India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act give people these rights. I offer them to everyone, wherever you live.

If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your data, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country. I’d like the chance to put it right first.

Keeping it safe

The site runs on HTTPS, so what you type into the form is encrypted on its way to Netlify. I share your details only with the services listed above. If a security problem ever affected your details, I’d tell you as soon as I knew.

Children

This site is for business owners. I don’t knowingly collect details from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If I change how I handle your data, for example by adding analytics, I’ll update this page and the date at the top.
